ADHD Testing at Prague Integration

We are excited to introduce a new ADHD assessment service at Prague Integration, led by clinical psychologist Magdalena Njegic. This comprehensive diagnostic process includes standardized questionnaires, a clinical interview, and—when necessary—a brief family or partner interview.

This new service will strengthen our clinic’s mental health offerings, respond to growing demand, and position us as a key provider of ADHD assessments in Prague.

Why ADHD Assessment Matters?

ADHD (Attention‑Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) affects both children and adults, often going undiagnosed until later in life. Early and accurate diagnosis can:

  • Improve daily functioning and coping
  • Reduce the risk of comorbid mental health conditions
  • Significantly enhance overall quality of life

In Prague, accessible and well-publicized ADHD diagnostic services that combine clinical depth with client-centered care remain limited. Our assessment fills this important gap in the local healthcare landscape.

Our Objectives

  • Deliver accurate, evidence-based ADHD diagnostics for adults and adolescents
  • Ensure a streamlined, respectful, and client-focused assessment process
  • Provide clear, actionable diagnostic reports, with referrals to psychiatrists for medication if needed
  • Expand access through high-quality, multilingual care

How does ADHD assessment look like?

The assessment at PI usually lasts 1.5–2 hours. It consists of multiple parts to ensure we cover different areas and obtain a full picture.

We start with a diagnostic interview, which covers the client’s entire life history — all present symptoms, main areas of impact, and mental health history, including past challenges and additional issues, as well as family mental health history.

During this part, we also review feedback from the client’s environment — such as partners, parents, work colleagues, or teachers — and discuss functioning during childhood. To diagnose ADHD, it is crucial to confirm that symptoms were present in childhood, so we often ask clients to send us reports or comments from close contacts in advance to save time during the assessment, as attention span can be limited in ADHD.

After completing the diagnostic interview, we move on to the personality assessment, which includes several mood-related scales and personality questionnaires to ensure clarity and accuracy in the final results. During this part, we also administer additional skill-related and ADHD-specific assessment tools, which are completed in writing. These include several questionnaires about current functioning as well as functioning during childhood.

Next, we conduct the DIVA interview, an ADHD-specific diagnostic tool designed to determine the presence of symptoms and assess the level and areas of impact ADHD may have on a person’s life.

Finally, after all these steps are completed, we leave a few minutes for a summary and any remaining questions, and then align on the next steps. If the assessment is not conclusive, or the results appear borderline, we schedule an additional interview with the client and may invite family members or partners to join if needed.
