Bio: Tereza grew up in the Czech Republic but moved to the UK to pursue her psychology education. She completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Kent and her master’s degree at the University of Manchester. Throughout her studies, she worked with individuals with learning disabilities, as well as children, including those growing up in multicultural families. She also volunteered as a peer group facilitator for adults experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, or abuse. Currently, Tereza works as a child psychologist in Prague, providing therapeutic support to children and adolescents facing emotional and behavioral challenges. She collaborates closely with families, helping them navigate complex dynamics and strengthen relationships. She is currently undergoing training in schema therapy, expanding her skills in working with deep-rooted emotional patterns and maladaptive coping mechanisms, in order to help individuals better understand the origins of their difficulties, develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others, and create lasting emotional change. In addition, Tereza is a trainee in Family and Couple Psychotherapy under the Czech Association for Psychotherapy (ČAP), further developing her expertise in working with relational and systemic dynamics within families and couples.
