Marie is originally from Czechia but completed her university degree in Psychology in England – bachelor‘s at Durham University and master’s degree at the University of Oxford. The experience from living abroad has motivated her to join the Prague Integration team to support expats living in Prague. After completing her studies she started working at the Czech National Institute of Mental Health in a research group focusing on mental health of children and adolescents. 

She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in clinical and health psychology specialising in intervention programmes for parents of children with anxiety.  

In the past she worked as a peer supporter for students, volunteered as a mentor for high school students and provided therapies to adolescents. She is trained in EmotionAid training and is currently undertaking psychotherapy training in CBT.
