Marique is from South Africa where she obtained her B. Psych (Hons) degree in Psychology. She volunteered at many different NGOs across the world where she assisted and supported children with neurodevelopmental disorders such as Down Syndrome and Autism.
She is currently also a volunteer at an American based association whose main goal is reducing suicide among adolescents by implementing prevention strategies among vulnerable youth. She is a registered and accredited teacher who incorporates mental well-being education in her classes and school curriculum.
As part of her passion project to empower women, she facilitates weekly support group sessions, assisting expatriate women dealing with various mental health challenges.
